Parking

Street parking is available along South Halsted St. from Canalport to 18th Street. It also available on Cullerton Ave west of Halsted St.

Public Transportation

The CTA #8 Halsted bus stops in front of CMASJ.

The Museum can also be accessed by utilizing both the Orange and Blue Line trains and by then transferring to the #8 Halsted bus.

Blue Line.

Exit the train at the UIC-Halsted Blue Line Station and transfer to the #8 Halsted bus headed south. Exit the bus at the Cullerton and Halsted stop and walk, crossing to the east side of the street and then walk south until you have reached CMASJ.

Orange Line

Exit the train at the Halsted Orange Line Station and transfer to the #8 Halsted bus headed north. Exit the bus at the Cullerton and Halsted stop and walk a few steps south until you have reached CMASJ.

Accessibility

The Children’s Museum of Art and Social justice strives to be as accessible as possible, we are a one story museum and fully wheelchair accessible.
We are currently working to have tour guides and gallery attendants to assist visually impaired visitors. We will make an announcement when this becomes available.

Guided Tours

Guided tours provide new perspectives on contemporary art and the history of social justice issues specific to our current exhibition. Take a public tour or book a private tour for your group or class.

  • Group size is 5–30 persons.
